The Sacred Dawn

episode 2: with Dustin and Rebecca George

the Sacred Dawn

Let's learn how to find hope in life's darkest moments...the darkest hour means dawn is just in sight.

I’m so excited to introduce two incredible guests: Dustin and Rebecca George—the sweetest couple with an inspiring love story and a deep faith that shines through everything they do.

Dustin C. George is a lead pastor, a writer, and a conference speaker. He has served for nearly two decades in various pastoral positions across all age ranges. Before entering full time church ministry, Dustin taught high school English for ten years. In his free time, Dustin can usually be found fly-fishing in the Smokies, expanding his skills as a craftsman, or enjoying his next adventure. He and his wife, Rebecca George, live in East Tennessee. He is the author of the book

"Before Dawn: Knowing God's Presence in the Dark Seasons of Life"

Growing up in the heart of East Tennessee, Rebecca developed a deep love for the Smoky Mountains (and a good day at Dollywood) from an early age. Her roots in this region have shaped her appreciation for the simple joys of life, like a sunrise peeking over the mountain or running into an old friend at your favorite coffee shop. If you found yourself in the passenger seat of her car, you’d probably be listening to Garth or Dolly (definitely 90s country). Rebecca is the host of the Radical Radiance podcast, and author of Do the Thing: Gospel-Centered Goals, Gumption and Grace for the Go-Getter Girl.

A little more about the book "Before Dawn"...

We were made for more than this, but we have not arrived yet. Until we do, there will be some hard stretches along the way. How do we keep going when familiar landmarks disappear? Where do we find strength when we grow weary of the journey? How can we carry on with confidence when all we have depended upon seems unstable and unreliable?

Dustin George answers these questions and more as he draws insight from scripture and years of experience in teaching and ministry. Anchored in biblical principles and written in a warm, storytelling style, Before Dawn: Knowing God's Presence in the Dark Seasons of Life offers continued direction, encouragement, and challenge to anyone navigating difficult seasons of uncertainty, grief, or suffering. Come sit by the firelight, rest for a while, and find renewed endurance for the next step in your journey.
